MAHSA Curriculum

Early Years

MISKL is a place where kids feel safe and happy while they learn. They use a mix of different methods for teaching. They follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework from the English National Curriculum, and they also use the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC). The IEYC is designed based on eight important ways kids learn and grow.

Primary

In Key Stage 1 and stage 2 of MAHSA International School’s Primary School, their main goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment to help their students learn and grow to the best of their abilities. The school is truly international, and that makes the learning experience special, right in the center of Malaysia.

They see each student as a unique individual, and their aim is to support their overall development, including socially and academically. The small class sizes help them give each student more attention, not only from their class teachers but also from other specialists and educators.

Secondary

The Cambridge Secondary Program offers a smooth transition for students as they move from primary education to further develop their abilities, with a particular emphasis on Mathematics, English, and Science. It provides a structured curriculum designed for success in education for learners in the 11-14 age range. The assessment approach is similar to that of Cambridge Primary, including GL Progression Tests and Cambridge Checkpoint tests.

English as a Second Language

Many students come to MAHSA International School with limited English proficiency. In today’s digital age, where they are constantly exposed to vast amounts of information, it’s essential to equip them with both foundational and advanced skills. These skills will enable them to critically assess the information they encounter and actively participate in both the school and the broader community.

A Level

Cambridge International AS and A Levels have a global perspective, yet they are tailored to local needs and contexts. The curriculum allows for learning that is relevant to the specific environment, avoiding cultural biases. The content is designed to be inclusive, promoting vital lifelong skills such as creative thinking and problem solving. The main objective is to strike a balance between knowledge, understanding, and practical skills. These qualifications empower candidates to become effective and adaptable learners, forming a strong foundation for their ongoing educational journey.
