Foundation in Biological and Biomedical Sciences
The design of this program intends to act as a pre-undergraduate course for students who aim to study medicine, biomedical or biological sciences, or pharmacy at the undergraduate level at NUMed, in Newcastle, UK, or at another higher education institution, depending on their final grades.
English Language Requirement
All international students must take IELTS/TOEFL or an equivalent test (as listed in the table below) before enrolling in our undergraduate program. This document will be submitted to the visa processing office, Education Malaysia Global Services, in order to get the Visa Approval Letter and student pass.
The requirement for international students to take IELTS/TOEFL or an equivalent test is a necessary step to ensure that all students have a sufficient level of English language proficiency.
This is important as the courses and lectures will be conducted in English. Having a good grasp of the English language will not only help students understand the course materials but will also allow them to effectively communicate their thoughts and ideas.
This promotes a conducive learning environment where international students can fully participate and excel in their studies.
Submission of these test scores is also a crucial part of the process to obtain a Visa Approval Letter and student pass through Education Malaysia Global Services.
This government agency manages the international student visa application process, ensuring that all students meet the necessary requirements before they are allowed to study in the country.
By submitting the IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent test scores, students demonstrate their readiness to engage with the academic community in Malaysia, and it helps facilitate the visa application process. It’s a step that ensures the smooth transition of international students into the country’s educational system.
