Minimum English Language Requirements

To enroll in APU’s main study programs, students must meet the minimum English language proficiency standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education. These requirements ensure that all students can effectively participate in their courses.

Students who do not meet the necessary English proficiency levels can still apply for a student visa conditionally. Upon arrival in Malaysia, they must enroll in the APU English Language Certification program and subsequently take the IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or MUET exam. If students do not achieve the required proficiency within 12 months, they will not be allowed to continue their main program and will need to return home.
