Program Outline
APU BSc in Multimedia Technology aims to teach students:

Degree Level 1
In year 1, students will obtain essential abilities needed for technical multimedia roles, along with foundational view into programming and system architecture. Selected specialized courses introduce foundational multimedia methods, including 3D visuals and digital imaging, among others. These courses also increase individual and team skills while encouraging creative thinking and innovative approaches. Additionally, the course emphasizes the dynamic presentation of multimedia in virtual and augmented reality, as showed in the Introduction to VRAR.

Internship
To bridge the gap between academic and professional worlds, students will experience an Internship or Industrial Training for at least 16 weeks. This ensures they transition smoothly from academic settings to real world jobs.

They will learn media scripting technology and advanced multimedia methodologies. Moreover, students must evaluate user perspectives and feedback, considering aspects like social and economical backgrounds, cultural differences, and regional factors in User Experience, HCI, and Usability. Their final year project tasks them with addressing a real world challenge, showing their capability to combine technical expertise, critical reasoning, and analytical skills into a personal portfolio.

APU-DMU Dual Degree
Students enrolled in the Bachelor’s Degree Program are presented with the opportunity to join the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. By choosing this pathway, upon graduation, students will be awarded two Degree Certificates & Transcripts: one from Asia Pacific University (APU) in Malaysia and another from De Montfort University (DMU) in the UK.
