Program Outline

This program aims to teach students to:

  • Receive a good education in engineering at the bachelor’s level, which includes learning about petroleum, gas, and how to find them.
  • This is to help students get ready for jobs in the big oil and gas world.
  • Learn how to use basic engineering ideas to make, improve, and use systems that find, take out, clean, and change crude petroleum and natural gas into products we can use. This means learning about the tools and machines for digging and drilling, the places and equipment to clean and change the oil and gas, the big tanks to store them, the ways to move them from place to place, and the important steps to keep everything safe and not harm the environment.

Degree Year 1

In year 1, students learn the basic ideas about things like Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum Geology, and materials used in engineering. APU also has classes that teach students the important study skills they need for jobs.

These classes help them understand computers and IT and learn about starting and running a business. In addition, students will learn helpful skills to plan and do tasks and also how to study and learn on their own.
