University Malaya (UM)

The earliest university in Malaysia, University of Malaya, is located on a 750-acre (309-hectare) campus southwest of Kuala Lumpur, the nation’s capital. The University of Malaya developed as a result of a history of societal service.

Its forerunners, the King Edward VII College of Medical founded in 1905 and Raffles College founded in 1929, were founded to address pressing needs in education and medicine, respectively.

In order to do a greater service together, they joined forces in October 1949 to found the University of Malaya, creating a generation of educated and skilled individuals who would help lay the groundwork for a new nation.

As a result, the University of Malaya was founded on October 8, 1949, as a national institution to meet the needs of the Federation of Malaya and Singapore in terms of higher education.

International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM)

The International Islamic University Malaysia was established in Malaysia in 1983. It has several campus locations, including Gombak, Selangor, its Center for Foundation Studies in Petaling Jaya, Gambang, and Kuantan, Pahang, and its medical-focused branch.
Both undergraduate and graduate courses are available at the university.
The International Islamic University Malaysia requires applicants to have an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 550 in order to enroll in a program.

University Teknologi MARA – UiTM

UiTM initiated degree programs in 1996, and achieved university status in 1999, when it first started offering postgraduate degrees.
