APU Scholarships & Merit Awards 2026 for International Students
APU Scholarships & Merit Awards 2026 are offered to deserving international students on a first come, first served basis. These awards provide fee reductions ranging from 10% to 30% on tuition, helping bright school leavers access quality higher education at one of Malaysia’s award-winning universities.
The scholarships aim to reduce the financial burden on talented students, enabling them to focus fully on their studies. APU evaluates candidates based on academic performance and personal achievements — not financial background — fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
In addition to academic merit, applicants who have competed in major international sporting events such as the Olympics, SEA Games, Youth Olympics, Asian Games, World Cups, or Commonwealth Games may be considered for a Sports Merit Award on a case-by-case basis. All nationalities are eligible to apply.

Note: Merit Awards are awarded on a yearly basis and are renewable upon meeting a minimum CGPA of 2.50 at the end of each academic year.
Conditions of APU Scholarships & Merit Awards
All APU scholarship recipients must comply with the following terms and conditions throughout their studies:
- Awards are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Students can secure their scholarship by paying an application and processing fee of RM 2,450 (USD 600).
- Recipients must meet minimum entry requirements and maintain a CGPA of 2.50 each academic year. Failure to meet this standard may result in suspension or termination of the award.
- All scholarship decisions are made at the discretion of the APU/APIIT Scholarships & Merit Awards Committee.
- Awards cover tuition fees only. Recipients are responsible for registration fees, accommodation, deposits, partner university fees, retake fees, and living expenses.
- Scholarships cannot be exchanged or converted to cash, partially or fully.
- Applicants must meet award academic entry requirements with actual results. APU reserves the right to determine the number of awards per programme.
- Recipients must maintain excellent conduct and comply with all APU/APIIT rules, regulations, and the Professional Code of Conduct.
- Award holders must attend all classes, lectures, tutorials, and lessons without fail.
- Recipients must complete all assignments, projects, and examinations required by their programme.
- Awards are valid for studies at APU/APIIT in Malaysia only and do not apply to overseas partner universities.
How to Apply for APU Scholarships 2026
