Visa and Residency Requirements for International Students
International learners must hold the appropriate visa to study in Malaysia. Day school students without boarding facilities must reside with a parent or legal guardian. For boarders, a legal guardian must be formally appointed. Certain visa holders (Employment, Resident, Diplomatic, MM2H, PVIP, or Digital Nomad Pass) require a yearly Permission to Study stamp. Others must apply for a Student Pass, which also allows for one Guardian Pass and dependent passes for younger siblings under age 3. The school supports families with MOE Letter of Support documentation, but Immigration approval can take up to three months — early application is strongly advised.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy
Nexus International School recognises that families may need to withdraw their children from the school. The following policy outlines the terms for refunds and deposits.
- One full term’s notice required: To avoid forfeiting the fee deposit, parents must provide the school with one (1) full academic term’s written notice of withdrawal. The notice must specify the “Withdrawal Date.” If the notice does not cover one full academic term, it will be deemed insufficient.
- Insufficient notice examples:
- If the child is to leave at the end of a term, the notice must be received by the school by the end of the first day of that term. Otherwise, the deposit will be forfeited.
- If the child leaves before the stated withdrawal date.
- If the withdrawal date is not listed in the notice.
- No conditional notices: The school does not accept conditional or provisional notices. If the child remains enrolled beyond the withdrawal date, a new notice of at least one full academic term must be submitted.
- Deposits: Deposits cannot be used to offset tuition fees or any other outstanding amounts. They are refundable only with proper notice as described above.
- Sundry Deposit (Boarding): The boarding sundry deposit is refundable provided one full term’s notice is given, all outstanding monies are settled, and all returnable items have been returned.
