Nexus, one of Malaysia’s top international schools, proudly offers the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and International Primary Curriculum (IPC) at the Mastering Level, as well as the IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB).

Deposit A deposit equal to one term’s worth of tuition is required. The sum must be increased as tuition costs rise in accordance with the level of the year. If you withdraw with one term’s written notice, you can get your money back. English as Additional Language (EAL) costs apply to students in Years 3 through 9 who need an intensive parallel English program, and these costs are covered during the admissions process. However, availability is limited.

The school assesses Alternative Pathway fees for students with Special Education Needs (SEN) who finished Primary at Nexus and need more support than what the Mainstream program provides.

Instead of using a Personal Learning Assistant (PLA), the school uses this approach. After a thorough assessment, the school strictly allocates the extremely limited places.

• Each term’s invoice for tuition and technology fees is due at the beginning of that term (3 terms per academic year).
• Day trips are included in the tuition.
• In order to meet the requirements for their year, students in Year 3 and later must purchase either an iPad or a Macbook.
• The price of textbooks, uniforms, and overnight trips is not included in the previously specified tuition prices.

Discounts for Siblings

Registration fees

For the Academic Year 2023/24, the school offers families a discount on the stated Registration Fee when they enroll their second and/or subsequent children, but this applies only if the first child is paying the full fee at the time the sibling(s) join. Families must pay the registration fee for the second and/or subsequent children according to the pricing schedule detailed in this document, and they cannot combine this discount with any other discounts or scholarships in effect at the time.

The discounts are as follows: 2nd child at 30% discount, 3rd child at 50% discount, 4th and subsequent child at 75% discount.

Tuition Fees

Families will receive a 5% discount off the official tuition rate at Nexus International School Malaysia for their second and subsequent children. The first child, as well as the following children, should be full-time students. The second and succeeding children pay according to the pricing schedule listed above; they are not currently eligible for any other discounts or scholarships on the tuition charge.

Advanced Payment

3% Rebate On Tuition Fee

Nexus International School Malaysia offers a 3% discount on tuition fees for Terms 2 and 3 when students pay the annual tuition fee in full on or before the first day of Term 1. New students must pay the annual tuition fee (for three full terms) on or before the start of classes in Term 1.

The school will refund the prepaid tuition fee for the terms in which a student won’t be enrolled if the student departs during or after the Academic Year 2023/24, but only if the student submits a satisfactory written withdrawal notice in compliance with the Enrolment Form’s terms and conditions. It will proportionally deduct the rebate given at the start of the academic year from the prepaid tuition fee. The school wants to make it clear that they won’t prorate the tuition fee, which was paid in advance at the start of each term, if a child decides to stop attending school mid-term.

Boarding fees

According to age and availability, boarding prices include breakfast, lunch, and dinner in addition to a number of amenities like on-site laundry services, a fully supplied kitchenette, internet access, and round-the-clock security.
In addition to this, boarders enjoy access to all the school amenities, including the gym, sports hall, field, theater, multipurpose rooms, and library.

Please be aware that only students in Academic Year 5 (age 9 and up) may apply to reside at the Nexus Boarding House. We anticipate receiving your application.

For Years 12 & 13 Boarders

• The Boarding Fees for Boarders are billed term by term and are due at the beginning of each term (3 terms per academic year).
• Accommodations, meals, and laundry are all included in the boarding fees.
• Siblings are eligible for a board fee discount. Only siblings who board at the school are eligible for it. A child who is enrolled in school and boarded is considered to have a sibling if they have a legal brother or sister.
• First sibling, second born, 10%.
• Siblings two and beyond (from the third birth onward): 15%.
• Payments should be submitted to Nexus International School Malaysia by check or bank draft.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy

Nexus International School recognizes that there may be situations where a parent feels compelled to pull their kid out of our school. The details of our withdrawal and refund policy are listed below.

• In order to avoid losing the fee deposit, a parent must provide the school one (1) full academic term notice that they wish to remove their child from the program. The “Withdrawal Date” must be specified in the aforementioned notice; otherwise, it will be judged to have provided insufficient notice. Please take note that the withdrawal notification must span ONE (1) WHOLE ACADEMIC TERM. The following examples of what constitutes insufficient notice are provided for clarification:
  • if it is planned for the child to leave the school at the conclusion of a term, the deposit will be forfeited if the notice of withdrawal is not received by the school by the end of the first day of that term.
  • if the child leaves the school before the withdrawal date.
  • if the withdrawal date is not listed in the notification of withdrawal
• The school does not accept conditional or provisional notices of withdrawal. If the child remains enrolled beyond the withdrawal date, the school must receive a new notice of withdrawal for at least ONE (1) full academic term. If a child misses a significant amount of school time, the school will enforce the rules of clause 10.
• Any deposits given under any circumstances will not be regarded as paying tuition fees in full or in part, and they cannot be used to offset any amounts owed or owing by the parent.
