Geomatics is the study and application of three-dimensional measurement, cartography, and visualization technologies. It is one of the most rapidly expanding IT sectors in the world today. Students in GUM University will be introduced to a variety of cutting-edge measurement tools (GPS and F2F), as well as data collecting and processing, including map creation. Diploma in Geomatics

The Diploma in Geomatics curriculum provided by the department has been approved by the Licensed Land Surveyors Board of Malaysia and is intended to meet all criteria for registration as a Licensed Land Surveyor in Malaysia. Graduates are also entitled to join the Institution of Surveyors of Malaysia (ISM) as a professional member and acquire facilities from a range of sources, such as satellite observation, ocean and land equipment, and sensors placed in space.

Currently, the majority of assistant land administrators, land brokers, and auctioneers rely on personal experience and have little official education and training. This initiative aims to fill this need. The Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geomatics and Land Surveying program is tailored to the most recent advancements in the area of Geomatics and Land Surveying in order to fulfill the demands of the industry and the fast growth of technology. Diploma students who need a superior educational platform to pursue a career in the field of land surveying are also attracted to the program.
