Master of Cognitive Neurosciences – SAINS@KL
The graduates of the master of cognitive neuroscience USM will be:
* Have access to a wide range of professional opportunities in various institutions and businesses, including those in the fields of neuro business, neuromarketing, computational neurosciences, social neurosciences, neurolinguistics, neuroeducation, and neurobehaviors.
* Are able to continue their studies in the humanities and social sciences at the doctoral level.
In year 1, the program will be taught at University Science Malaysia’s KL Campus in Wisma Sejarah on Jalan Tun Razak (for core and elective courses).
Depending on the selected study topic, the research project will be held at a different campus of University Science Malaysia, such as the Main Campus (Penang) or/and Health Campus (Kubang Kerian, Kelantan).
Admission Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any field of arts and sciences with a CGPA of at least 3.00 / 4.00 or equivalent
Language Requirements
(Applicable for International Applicants Only)
- A minimum score of 35 in Internet-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language); or
- A minimum of Band 5 in IELTS (International English Language Testing System); or
- A minimum score of 154 in Cambridge English Advance (CAE); or
- A minimum score of 154 in Cambridge Proficiency Advance (CPE); or
- A minimum score of 36 in Pearson Test of English (PTE); or
- A minimum of Band 2 in MUET (Malaysian University English Test)
An exemption can be given if:
- English is the candidate’s mother tongue or National Language; or
- The candidate graduated from an Institution of Higher Learning in which the medium of instruction is English
Duration
- Full-time: 4 semesters (2 years) / 8 semesters (4 years)
- Part-Time: 6 semesters (3 years) / 10 semesters (5 years)
