Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs)

APS International School Facilities and Boarding

Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) at Asia Pacific Schools encompass a wide range of sporting, cultural, and social activities as well as academic activities that directly assist achievement in timetabled topics.

All students must complete CCAs, which are integrated into the regular school day and are taken every Wednesday for students following the Malaysian National Curriculum and every Thursday for students following the International Curriculum.

Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) at Asia Pacific Schools play a crucial role in creating a well-rounded educational experience.

These activities encompass various fields, allowing students to explore their interests outside of regular academic classes. Sports activities give students the chance to be physically active, promoting fitness and teamwork.

Meanwhile, cultural and social activities help students understand various perspectives, fostering a sense of global citizenship and respect for diversity.

Academic activities tied to classroom topics provide practical, hands-on learning experiences that reinforce and extend the concepts learned in class.

A unique aspect of the school’s CCA program is that it’s a mandatory part of the curriculum. The school believes in the holistic development of students, recognizing that education extends beyond academic knowledge.

By integrating these activities into the regular school day, the school ensures that every student gets the opportunity to participate and learn from these experiences.

These activities are scheduled every Wednesday for students following the Malaysian National Curriculum and every Thursday for students following the International Curriculum, allowing for seamless integration into the students’ weekly schedules.

Through this approach, Asia Pacific Schools cultivate a learning environment that values intellectual, physical, and social growth equally.

Through CCAs, students acquire abilities and traits like resilience, teamwork, and good communication, which are highly valued by contemporary businesses.

Co-Curricular Activities includes:

  • Air Scouts
  • Art & Craft Club
  • Entrepreneur Club
  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic Club (STEM)
  • Red Crescent (PBSM)
  • Science Whiz Club

Extra-Curricular Activities & Trips

The end of the school day does not mark the end of learning! For comprehensive social, emotional, and physical development, Asia Pacific Schools encourages students to take part in extracurricular activities (ECAs), clubs, and organizations.

Participation in ECAs is optional and the activities are run by teachers or carefully selected outsourced providers. However, we highly recommend all students to take ECAs as they give them exposure to different learning environments, social situations and interpersonal challenges.
