Doctor of Dental Surgery

Program Overview

A combination of biological, clinical, and behavioral sciences is taught in the modules for this degree program, with a focus on human anatomy, craniofacial biology, physiology, biochemistry, and microbiology in particular.
In addition, a significant portion of the curriculum covers the study of pathology, pharmacology, human organ systems, associated disease processes, emergency procedures, infection control, oral health diseases, biomaterials, operative dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, public health, and community dentistry.
After completing the program, students will have acquired the skills necessary to perform a range of dental jobs, from simple treatments like tooth extraction and oral flaw repair to complex and difficult procedures like root canal and prosthodontic therapy.
Along with taking on professional responsibility for the efficient and secure treatment of their patients, they will be able to diagnose, treat, and prevent dental disorders. The dental graduates from MAHSA University will be well-equipped to serve the community and occupy prestigious positions at the top of the dentistry profession in the public and private sectors both locally and globally.

Doctor in Restorative Dentistry
Program Overview
Through interactive learning sessions and clinical training, the Doctor in Restorative Dentistry (DrResDent) program is a three-year clinical course of study that aims to effectively integrate information from the fields of prosthodontics, endodontics, and periodontics. This will assist the students in treating patients holistically by utilizing the thorough knowledge they have gained through this curriculum.
By performing independent research, the applicant will create an original research project that will be formally reported in a thesis, as a manuscript that is ready for submission, or as a published paper(s).
A one-year Master of Orofacial Sciences degree, or its equivalent, with a required elective in restorative dentistry, is required for admission to this program. A specialty training program that combines a one-year master’s degree with a three-year doctoral degree will allow graduates to be registered as experts in restorative dentistry under the Malaysian Dental Act of 2018.

Program Overview
The three-year Doctorate program and Master of Orofacial Sciences Program are connected by this degree. The Doctorate program requires this one-year degree as a prerequisite. According to the Malaysian Dental Act 2018, graduates must complete a one-year Master and a three-year Doctorate degree in order to be registered as dental specialists in the selected specialty.
This Master program offers chances for nearby private dentists or prospective dental lecturers to advance their expertise in a field that interests them. Applied Medical and Dental Sciences, Research Methodology, Research Project, and Community Dental Practice are the four common modules included in the curriculum. The candidate’s selected discipline, from the currently available options of Restorative Dentistry, Periodontology, or Orthodontics, will be covered in the fifth module.

Diploma in Dental Technology
Program Overview
The Diploma in Dental Technology program at MAHSA University is a specialized curriculum created for individuals interested in a career as dental technologists working in dental labs or clinics after completing SPM or its equivalent.
For the treatment of cracked or misaligned teeth, the replacement of lost teeth, and tooth preservation, dental technologists create or make prostheses.
Students will develop complicated abilities in designing, building, and maintaining dental prostheses and appliances such as bridges, crowns, dentures, orthodontic appliances, mouthguards, and other dental fixtures throughout the course of the program.
Additionally, first aid, infection control techniques, safety and health standards, store management, and entrepreneurial skills will be taught to the students.
Students who successfully complete the program and receive their dental technology diploma from MAHSA will be knowledgeable in their field, skilled and competent, ethical, and have high moral standards.
