Library

At MAHSA University, the library supports teaching, learning, and research in significant ways.

Membership

All enrolled students, as well as academic and nonacademic staff at the university, are automatically members.

General Rules

• Registered users must always present their MAHSA staff or student ID card upon entering the library grounds.
• If you lose your ID card, it will affect your borrowing privileges and access to other services.
• You must check out every item you borrow from the library properly at the circulation desk or the self-check machine.
• Library staff members may inspect all books, files, and other objects as a user enters or exits the building.
• The library strictly prohibits smoking, vaping, eating, or alcohol consumption.
• The library does not allow users to bring in bags, helmets, umbrellas, or raincoats.
• Library users who photocopy any documents do so at their own risk and assume full liability under the Copyright Act of 1987.
• Users cannot move furniture or equipment from their original locations in the library. The library does not allow seat reservations. Library users must adhere to the University’s dress guidelines.
• Users must put mobile devices on mute while on library premises. The on-duty Librarian reserves the right to ask you to leave if they find you violating any of the property’s regulations.
• The library does not take responsibility for the loss or misplacement of personal property.
• Academic staff must return all borrowed materials to the library before going on study or sabbatical leave, either domestically or abroad.
• University students who have dropped, completed, or postponed their courses must return all borrowed items to the library.

Interlibrary Loan Services (ILS)

A service mechanism called interlibrary loan enables Malaysian libraries to work together to share resources with other libraries.

The focal point of this service system coordinator is the National Library of Malaysia. Sharing information resources amongst libraries and addressing the need for non-library content are two advantages

Institutions having libraries and resource centers are eligible to join. The Public Library, Academic Library, and Specialized Library make up this membership group.

There are around 563 registered members, including MAHSA University, as per the membership listed on the National Library website from 2004 to 2018.

Theater

The M theatre is an auditorium with a 300-person capacity maximum that is situated in the wealthy part of PJ and is perfect for seminars, meetings, and conferences.

Its adjacent covered outdoor area is a distinctive feature that would be ideal for setting up booths and/or an eating area. The M Theatre’s proximity to THE GROUNDS makes it ideal for day conferences that are followed by the banquet meal.
