Sunway University Ranked No. 1 Non-GLU Private University in Malaysia

Sunway University is one of Malaysia’s major private universities. It provides high quality complete education to all students, regardless of race, creed, or socioeconomic status. In the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023, Sunway University ranks as the No. 1 non-government linked university (GLU) private university in Malaysia and as one of Malaysia’s Top 10 universities. Sunway University now holds a ranking of 801-1000 among a total of 1,799 universities across 104 countries and regions. THE World University Rankings is the largest and most diverse university ranking system.
Professor Sibrandes Poppema, President of Sunway University, shared his pleasure about the university’s entry into the THE World University Rankings for meeting the eligibility criteria to receive a rank in the league table.
“Thirteen performance indicators delicately balance the table, evaluating an institution’s effectiveness in teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international view. Data gathering generates these rankings, trusted by governments and universities and serving as an important source for students deciding where to study.
Sunway University is also the best private university in Malaysia according to THE Impact Rankings 2022. It ranked Top 301+ out of 1,406 foreign institutions.
Sunway University has been selected as the number one university in Malaysia. It is for Graduate Employability by Talentbank Group in 2022 and 2023, according to the National Graduate Employability Ranking. The report evaluates the employability of graduates from Malaysian universities across the country. It is highlighting Malaysian universities that have produced the most highly desired graduates.
