The BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture is an exciting course created for students who want to become innovative interior architecture professionals in the 21st century. Sunway Bachelor of Interior Architecture Students will work on several aspects of interior environment design throughout the course of three and a half years, gaining knowledge and abilities that will allow them to make a contribution to the field with confidence and originality.
The program is offered in a variety of learning contexts, beginning with a studio experience that lets students in the principles of design process and thinking, allowing them to build knowledge and skills in the practice of designing interactions between people and interior spaces. Students will be taught to a diverse range of theoretical and practical areas, including design practice, modeling, sketching, furniture design, and sustainable design.
A good sense of design, combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to use modern technology, will prepare them for a career in any field of design. During the 6-month industrial placement program, students will also be engaged in a practical educational environment. This program was created in line with the Malaysian Board of Architects’ (Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia, LAM) rules.
Graduates will also get a degree from Lancaster University after excellent completion of the program. They will receive two certificates, certifying that they are graduates of both Sunway University and Lancaster University.

General Requirements
International Students
- International students from specific countries who want to study at Sunway University (for example, programs in collaboration with Lancaster University) must first complete and pass our online six-month International Preparatory Program (IPP). This is required for enrollment in a Sunway degree program, which also results in a degree certificate from Sunway’s partner institution. To progress to the degree, students must pass all subjects with a grade of C or higher.
