Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Sunway Master of Sustainable Development Management Candidates should have one of the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher education with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00, or equivalent, as acknowledged by the University’s Senate; or
  • A bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) with a CGPA of less than 2.50 out of 4.00, or its comparable credentials, can be accepted with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; or
  • Any other equivalent professional qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government.

English Requirements

International candidates must demonstrate English ability sufficient to satisfy the program’s requirements:

  • IELTS 6.0/ CEFR: B2
  • TOEFL: PBT (550) or IBT (75)
  • Cambridge English (Advanced): 180 / CEFR: B2 or Cambridge English (Proficiency): 180 / CEFR: C1
  • PTE Academic: 50
  • Malaysian University English Test: Band 4

If a student does not satisfy this prerequisite, the HEP provides English proficiency courses to guarantee that the student’s proficiency is adequate to meet the program’s requirements. This is usually done through an English language competence test.
