Research Methodology
One taught module and one thesis are required for the MSc in Life Sciences. Before beginning to write their thesis, students must finish one taught module, Research Methodology. Candidates who complete this module will get the essential skills and knowledge to properly conduct research for their Master’s degree.
Thesis
Production of thesis is based on students’ original research throughout the candidature. The MSc is awarded based on the successful completion of a thesis. The thesis should demonstrate proficiency, criticality and mastery in the subject or chosen area of research.

Entry Requirements
General Requirements
Candidates should have one of the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences (e.g. Medical Biotech, Biomedicine, etc) or a related field; with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent

Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis and subject to the approval and acceptance by University Senate.
English Requirements
International candidates must demonstrate English ability sufficient to satisfy the program’s requirements:
- IELTS 6.0
- TOEFL 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based) or 80 (Internet-based)
- PTE Academic 50 overall (minimum 46 in each skill)
Note: Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English would have met the language requirement.
