Research Methodology
In addition to the thesis component, students will be required to study Research Methodology in order to improve their research expertise.
Thesis
Students pursuing the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree must do in-depth research on a specific research topic, the results of which must be submitted in the form of a thesis. The thesis must be defended orally in an examination known as a viva voce.

Understanding the MBA Curriculum

Entry Requirements
General Requirements
Candidates should have one of the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) in related fields with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.75 as accepted by the University Senate; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75 is acceptable, subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 is acceptable, subject to a minimum of five years of relevant working experience and rigorous internal assessment; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the University Senate, subject to a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience and rigorous internal assessment; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting 2.5 as accepted by the University Senate, subject to a minimum of five years of relevant working experience and rigorous internal assessment; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the University’s Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR
- Other qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) recognized by the Malaysian Government.
English Requirements
International candidates must demonstrate English ability sufficient to satisfy the program’s requirements:
- IELTS: 6.0 or equivalent
Note: Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English would have met the language requirement.
