Program Overview

The Master of Business Analytics (MsBA) program is a comprehensive, industry-relevant degree that combines three critical domains: business analytics, information technology, and business innovation. Sunway Master of Business Analytics provides the intellectual underpinning theories and practice in business analytics and business related fields that are required for holistic learning.

The MsBA curriculum has been meticulously created to identify and comprehend challenges in a wide range of business sectors, as well as to apply based on data, analytical methodologies to define and diagnose business problems, foresee future possibilities, and prescribe solutions.

MsBA will provide students with the skills and knowledge required to launch a career in Business Analytics. The curriculum delivers specialized expertise to help you become proficient in predictive analytics, discover new technologies accessible in the market, and develop your abilities in decision science.

Project

This course includes a Business Analytics Capstone Project to improve and demonstrate cognitive skills related to the application and interpretation of business analytics in a real world business context, as well as to develop communication skills to transfer knowledge in relation to data analytics issues clearly, effectively, and appropriately.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Candidates should have one of the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
• A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; or
• A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with relevant working experience of at least 2 years of work experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; or
• A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; or
• Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognized by the Malaysian Government.

English Requirements

International candidates must demonstrate English ability sufficient to satisfy the program’s requirements:

• IELTS: 6.0 or equivalent

Note: Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English would have met the language requirement.
