Sunway Bachelor of Medical Biotechnology will walk students through some of the most significant advancements, assisting them in understanding and preparing the way for a future world of invention and discovery.
Graduates of the program will find fulfilling positions in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the health sector and public policy, as society grapples with the complex difficulties brought on by the quickly changing world of medical biotechnology. With a focus on research skills development, this curriculum also prepares students for additional study at the Masters or even PhD level, which can lead to modern medical biotechnology discoveries.
Graduates will also get a degree from Lancaster University upon satisfactory completion of the program. They will receive two certificates, certifying that they are graduates of both Sunway University and Lancaster University.

General Requirements
STPM/Pre-University
- For Biology with Psychology and Medical Biotechnology
- Possess SPM or its equivalent with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one science subject and one any other subject
- For Biomedicine Program
- 2 principals in two of the following subjects at STPM/Pre-University/Matriculation level in: Biology, Physics/Mathematics or Chemistry)
International Students
- International students from specific countries who wish to study at Sunway University (for example, programs in collaboration with Lancaster University) must first complete and pass our online six-month International Preparatory Program (IPP). This is a prerequisite for enrolling in a Sunway degree program that also leads to a degree from Sunway’s partner university. To progress to the degree program, students must pass all subjects with a grade of C or higher.
