Why the The free inter-campus shuttle, which runs often throughout the academic year. Is not consistent . According to the portal For transportation to and from campus lectures, there are 20 private buses and 7 university buses should be made available to transport students to the respective to the respective faculty for lectures according to its schedule. Nowadays, students waiting for the bus for one hour but it does not arrive, and sometimes the bus does not stop to pick up students, just drive passed them. To make the situation worse, this happen when the students have to wait under the rain for the bus that did not arrive at all !!
The students can take advantage of these services from 7.15 am to 11.30 pm as claim in the portal but it is disappointing on the basic amenities in UTM. Also touching on UTM library has no air conditioning for a long time to cater for the students communities used especially during revision week. Students have to walk in the total darkness to their respective faculty for test and exam held at night where there are no street lamp at all. UTM has to improve these basic facilities in order to claim what it suppose to be in the university portal to attract more foreign students.
