Sunway Bachelor of Financial Economics

The BSc of Financial Economics program keeps economics graduates ahead of the competition by providing them with technical skills such as quantitative exposure to analytical models, big-data analysis, forecasting, and so on. Sunway Bachelor of Financial Economics Students will be trained in the application of powerful economics and finance theories, have access to concepts translated as operational models with powerful software to apply to real data, and there will be a greater emphasis on driven by instruction with its new and enhanced structure.

Most economics degrees can no longer keep up with the rapid shifts in workplace needs caused by technological advancements. In a kept hidden message, industry experts have pointed out that graduates lack the diversity of skill sets required to excel in diverse economic areas. With a Bachelor of Financial Economics degree, graduates will be able to learn economics at a higher level as business analysts using strong software and economical data available on campus. Their specialized training begins at Sunway University, where they learn economics in an analytics method. Their education transfers to jobs as ready skills for analyzing enterprises, industries, and product markets, which are required in modern firms.

Sunway Foundation in Science Technology	CGPA 2.5
Sunway Foundation in Arts	CGPA 2.5

Unified Examination Certificate	Maximum 25 points from 5 subjects (all Grade Bs including Mathematics)
International Baccalaureate	Completed with minimum 27 points (excluding bonus points)

General Requirements

• Pass in Mathematics at SPM or its equivalent
• Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis

International Students

• International students from specific countries who wish to study at Sunway University (for example, programs in collaboration with Lancaster University) must first complete and pass our online six-month International Preparatory Program (IPP). This is a prerequisite for enrolling in a Sunway degree program that also leads to a degree from Sunway’s partner university. To progress to the degree program, students must pass all subjects with a grade of C or higher.

• O-Level English (1119) Credit
• Sunway Intensive English Program (IEP) Pass Level 4 with minimum 65%
• ESL/English Satisfactory level in Pre-University programs, where the medium of instruction is English
