School Facilities and Services
The deployment of proper gear and software at SIS enhances and facilitates learning. Sunway International School is designed and equipped to suit the study, enjoyment, safety, relaxation, and leisure needs of our students.
Conducive and Technology Enabled School Campus
SIS is well-prepared with cutting-edge educational technology. They have wireless internet (Wi-Fi) throughout the whole school, personal computers for each student, and interactive whiteboards. They also use an e-learning system that helps teachers share assignments and resources with students and parents.
1-Classrooms
All of the classrooms have interactive whiteboards, projectors, and the most up-to-date learning equipment.
2- Science Laboratories
Wet labs for General Science and dry labs for Physical Science are available at SIS. Students conduct scientific experiments and research in laboratories equipped with necessary equipment and gear.
The laboratories feature alarm switches for emergency shutdown and a safety shower for student protection in the event of an accident.
3- Library
With over 3,800 books, SIS library is a valuable resource center. A library of audio-visual materials spanning a wide range of disciplines is also housed there. SIS Library is well-equipped, with connections to Sunway University’s library.
4- Cafeteria
The school cafeteria is a nice, open-plan facility that functions as a dining hall as well as a student’s lounge, with capacity for 150 students each seating. At the SIS cafeteria, students can pick from a range of halal foods.
5- Hall
The School multi-purpose hall can hold 600 people and is outfitted with stage fittings, lighting, and sound equipment. The SIS Hall converted from a theatre to a sports gym for competitive activities thanks to the addition of bleachers. The SIS Hall is the students’ preferred location for theater, dance, and gymnastics.
6- School Safety and Security
The School’s 24-hour security staff consists of highly trained individuals with years of experience, and they are linked to the Sunway Auxiliary Police Service.
The School’s stringent security measures only allow SIS personnel, students, and registered visitors to access the premises. The school does not permit students to leave the school grounds alone during school hours.
7- Discussion Areas
The communal conversation spaces are open-air and inviting, with brightly colored accents and inspiring words decorating the corridors creating a dynamic and stimulating atmosphere. There are several comfy work stations scattered around to encourage study and conversation.
8- Admission Center
These unique rooms designated for program counselling and admission procedures and furnished with conference tables, comfortable sofas, school and program information, as well as students’ medals and achievements.
The welcoming atmosphere of the Admissions Centre encourages open sharing and frank discussions.
9- Prayer Room
For Muslim students and employees, SIS provides separate prayer rooms and bathing facilities for men and women.
10- Sick Bay
A school nurse is on duty to help students with their medical requirements, and SIS is only 0.75km from Sunway Medical Centre.
SIS House -Boarding Facilities
SIS as a perfect choice to study in Malaysia is a day school that also offers boarding. Local and foreign students can use the boarding facilities. A dedicated full-time resident crew directed by the House Master manages SIS House. Wi-Fi, TV, a lounge, eating space, and other amenities are available.
SIS House organizes extracurricular activities and unique events for the boarding students as their home away from home. These include weekend and holiday field trips, hiking and camping programs, as well as social events aimed at team development and fellowship such as movie evenings, birthday celebrations, and BBQs.

Payment Policy
The boarding fee for SIS House includes accommodation, laundry services, housekeeping, alloted utilities, Wi-Fi connection and security
services. Failure to settle payment in full by the date advised would result in disruption to the services mentioned above.
4. Boarders and parents must read and agree to abide by the SIS House Rules, and to sign and submit their acknowledgement upon submission of the SIS House Application Form.
The high degree of pastoral care extends to the School’s boarding facility, SIS House. SIS students have boarding facilities from abroad and out-of-the-state, providing accommodation with modern amenities and caretakers.
A live-in House Master and Resident Executive oversee the students’ welfare, supported by round-the-clock security services. The House Master and Resident Executive also manage and maintain discipline at SIS House, and boarders live in a harmonious and respectful community.
Activities
At SIS House, we are a diverse community of boarders from all over the world, which provides boarders the opportunity to learn about each other’s customs and culture.
SIS House organizes regular social activities and excursions for boarders to congregate and celebrate in an atmosphere of respect, tolerance and fellowship.
Monthly Birthday Celebration
SIS House monthly celebrations always eagerly anticipate. The combined end-month party fetés birthday babies with themed dinners that includes barbeques, local cuisine and hot-pot buffet.
The parties’ entertainment has included musical performances by budding talents from among their own, and board games or movies. With every celebration, the boarders look forward to merriment and bonding over delicious food and treats.
Excursions and Trips
Boarders give the opportunity to participate in long weekend and overnight trips to local attractions located within the vicinity. These excursions usually involve an educational or experiential objective, by appreciating the natural wonders they visit or learning to work in teams to navigate trails in the forests when hiking.

Sports and Games
SIS House encourages its residents to be active by arranging for the boarders to experience a variety of physical sports and competitive games weekly.
These activities occur mid-week or on weekends as a form of relaxation for the boarders and a much-needed break from the grind of their daily assignments.
Some of the sports and games frequently in demand include basketball, badminton and table tennis. Besides encouraging boarders to be more physically active, these games also benefit them by cultivating their teamwork and coordination skills.
Along with these conventional sports and games, the House Master organizes friendly matches and tournament between teams consisting of boarders, and among units to motivate participation and good-natured competitiveness.
The boarders invited to the Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort for the BMW Malaysia Open Tennis 2012, where boarders witnessed tennis greats like Venus Williams, Marion Bartoli and Shuai Peng play.
