The Chemical engineering is the study of establishing, developing, and designing processes that manufacture, modify, or transport products and materials. Sunway Bachelor of Chemical Engineering incorporates natural, experimental, and biological sciences knowledge, as well as components of mathematics and economics, to examine problems and devise solutions for challenges such as safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Chemical engineers develop future materials and technologies; they design chemical manufacturing equipment and develop and manage industrial processes that transform raw materials into the most usable products.

General Requirements
- Natural Sciences subjects are Physics, Biology or Chemistry. Chemistry will be given preference.
- SPM or equivalent in Science stream will be given preference.
- CGPA 2.5 equivalent and any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis.
International Students
- International students from specific countries who wish to study at Sunway University (for example, programs in collaboration with Lancaster University) must first complete and pass our online six-month International Preparatory Program (IPP). This is a prerequisite for enrolling in a Sunway degree program that also leads to a degree from Sunway’s partner university. To progress to the degree program, students must pass all subjects with a grade of C or higher.

- Sunway Intensive English Program (IEP) Pass Level 4 with minimum 65%
- ESL/English Satisfactory level at Pre-University programs with English as the medium of instruction.
- Additional requirements For Malaysian students entering using an entry qualification whereby the medium of instruction is not in English, MQA requires the student to possess a MUET or international English proficiency qualification in order to register for the Engineering programs.
