Sunway Bachelor of Conventions and Events Management prepares students for careers in the event industry through an industry-inspired curriculum. The program covers all aspects of event administration, from developing and presenting an event to promotion and production, management, and evaluation.
When working in a team or alone, students will emerge as a competent, industry-ready professional with strong leadership qualities, technical capabilities, communication strategies, and problem-solving ability. The project management skills taught can also be used to other areas of company such as marketing, business development, and public relations.
An 18-week industry internship will provide valuable practical industry experience. Having good relationships with industry practitioners, conference associations, convention centers, and the tourism bureau can make it easier to acquire internship placements and potential jobs in a variety of industries.
