About the Program

Students complete this health science-based program within four (4) years of study. The program educates individuals to function as team members among medical professionals and technologists.

UKM is a biomedical science university in Malaysia. These teams collaborate to make critical judgments about illness severity and the effectiveness of proposed treatments.
A student of biomedical science can manage diagnostic, commercial, and industrial labs in addition to using medical laboratory equipment in these settings.

UKM‘s Biomedical Science Program is a member of the Pan Asia Biomedical Science Consortium and has received international accreditation from the Institute of Biomedical Science (United Kingdom).

The Biomedical Science Program at UKM has a set curriculum that is evaluated every five years in accordance with the demands of the Allied Health Profession Act of 2016 as well as by businesses and other stakeholders.

Objective

Producing graduates with a solid background in biomedical sciences who can do scientific work and study on topics such as the effectiveness of drug stability, the identification of side effects from pesticides and food industry contamination, among others.
