OSRAM Sponsorship Program For Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in UKM

OSRAM Sponsorship Program is among UKM scholarships For Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in UKM

A scholarship amount of RM 50,000 per year (Ph.D.) or RM 30,000 per year (MSc) will be awarded to a successful student. Applications from potential students wishing to study in these areas and inquiries from academic groups performing research in these areas are invited to submit your application.

Requirements:

• CGPA 3.0 or above from Engineering or Science Degree.
•  Willing to work in the Semiconductor industry at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors after finishing studies.
• Good written & oral communication skills.

HLAF Science & Technology Scholarship and Grant

Every year, HLAF offers the Science & Technology Scholarship & Grant to Ph.D. and post-doctoral candidates, regardless of nationality, institution, and gender.

As of 2019, HLAF has awarded more than RM2 Million to 10 deserving alumni in various disciplines of the Science & Technology fields.

It is the Foundation shared belief that a good education opens doors to a better life and that the opportunity for education should be equal.

Khazanah Watan Scholarship Program

The Khazanah Watan Scholarship, as one of UKM scholarships, is a prestigious award that offers opportunities for talented and high-achieving Malaysians to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at selected leading local universities.

The aim of the Khazanah Watan Scholarship Program is two-fold:-

1. To train Malaysia’s brightest talents to transform its GLCs into competitive business locally and internationally
2. To encourage individuals with excellent academic credentials to lead and participate in research initiatives that will contribute to the advancement of the universities’ reputation in research and innovation.

General Terms and Conditions

1. Possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities
2. Applicants must have a consistent and outstanding academic achievement record as follows:

Master’s Degree

You can obtain admission to pursue studies at renowned selected universities in Malaysia.

Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or where there is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor’s Degree

Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrollment date for the Master’s degree

1. Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first year of a Doctoral Degree program.  (Conditional offer are available)
2. Obtained a Master Degree with a distinction or a minimum CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 or ‘A’ grade average and/or excellent examiners’ report if the Master Degree is by research
3. Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University). There is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor’s Degree
4. Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrollment date for the Doctorate program
5. For PhD Program, candidates must be working at Khazanah’s bond serving institutions. It includes but not limited to Khazanah-Linked Company (KLC), Government-Linked Company (GLC), Public universities, Government bodies and agencies. Upon completion of studies, the candidates are to return back to their current employers to serve their bond.

Please refer to the list of courses sponsored on the Yayasan Khazanah website. However, preference is given for those applying for the following courses:

• Accounting
• Economics
• Finance and Investments
• Public Policy and Political Science
