- Students are required to pass the Research Methodology modules (6 credit hours) in the first year of their candidature.

General Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Tier 1)
- Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) of computing or in the area of Science and Technology. Or related to computing, with a minimum CGPA of 3.00, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree (Tier 2)
- Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) of computing or in the area of Science and Technology or related to computing, with CGPA below 3.00 but above 2.50 is acceptable subject to rigorous internal assessment process, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree (Tier 3)
- Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) of computing or in the area of Science and Technology or related to computing, with CGPA less than 2.50, with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a relevant field may be accepted.
- IELTS 5.0 / TOEFL 40 (Internet Based Test) (May join IEN preparatory course and achieve the IELTS score) The validity of the IELTS or equivalent is within 2 years from the date of the examination.
