The Bachelor of Business Management in e-business is a study program for students who want to learn about doing business online. It teaches students how to sell products, advertise, and manage businesses that operate on the internet. APU BA in E-business is useful because more and more business is done online today. After finishing this program, students can work in many job roles. For example, they can help companies sell products online, manage online advertisements, or give advice on how to do business on the internet. This program helps students understand and use the internet to help businesses succeed.

Program Outline

APU BA in E-business aims to help students with

  • Knowing how managers in various enterprises perceive and engage in e-business operations, understanding their context, role, and importance.
  • A thorough knowledge and practical application of financing, and observing online businesses in a constantly changing commercial environment.
  • investigating  both the theory and real world challenges of running businesses through the internet and Web platforms.
  • Job skills like analytical thinking, addressing challenges, understanding and interpreting information, proficient written and spoken communication, using technology in business scenarios, and researching e-business-related topics.

Degree Level 1

In year 1, students will acquire foundational knowledge about the backdrop in which businesses function, including areas such as Management, Law, Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. Additionally, APU BA in E-business will introduce them to essential communication & business skills, competencies in computing & IT, and quantitative abilities, increasing a culture of self learning. By having a shared initial year across all Business Management courses, students will be skilled in fundamental business management concepts and methodologies.

Degree Level 2

In year 2, students will study more detailed subjects like how people behave in business, rules for good business behavior, how to think carefully in management, and how to be creative and bring new ideas. They will also learn special topics like how to manage online businesses, how to sell things online, and how to advertise online. Students will get a deep knowledge about how different parts of a business work together. They will also use special computer programs from a company called SAP to understand the main activities of a business better. APU will keep encouraging them to learn on their own. This will help them in their jobs later and if they want to study more in the future.

Internship

To bridge the gap between academic and professional worlds, students will experience an Internship or Industrial Training for at least 16 weeks. This ensures they transition smoothly from academic settings to real world jobs.

Degree Level 3

Using what they learned in school and from work, students will learn more about the current problems in online business. This includes getting better at making websites show up in search results and understanding how online business systems work. They will also learn how to lead and plan in business, getting them ready to become leaders. In the last year, they will do a special project. Here, they will show what they know and what they can do in the topic they choose.

APU-DMU Dual Degree

Students enrolled in the Bachelor’s Degree Program are presented with the opportunity to join the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. By choosing this pathway, upon graduation, students will be awarded two Degree Certificates & Transcripts: one from Asia Pacific University (APU) in Malaysia and another from De Montfort University (DMU) in the UK.

Admission Requirements

General Requirements
Direct Entry to Level 1 of Degree
STPM 2 Passes in STPM with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) and a Pass in English and Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent.
A-Level 2 Passes in A-Level with a Pass in English and Mathematics at SPM/ O-Level/ IGCSE or its equivalent.
UEC 5 Grade B’s in UEC with a Pass in Mathematics and English.
Foundation/ Matriculation Passed Foundation program (minimum CGPA of 2.0).
Direct Entry to Level 2 of Degree
Diplomas • Successful completion of the APU/APIIT Diploma or
• Successful completion of studies in another recognized institute with academic credits equivalent to Level 1 of an Honors Degree
(Subject to the approval of the APU/APIIT Academic Board)
