APU BA Banking and Finance in Financial Technology (often called FinTech) is a study program that combines traditional money matters with new technology. Students learn about things like online payments, digital money, and new ways of lending money. When they finish, they can work in jobs that involve both finance and technology. This includes jobs in banks that use new tech, companies that make payment apps, or even starting their own tech money business.
Program Outline
APU BA Banking and Finance in Financial Technology aims to teach students:

- Opportunities to develop into highly competent managers, who are well qualified not only in Banking and Finance but also other professional areas required for successful business administration and management.
- Basic technical competency and professionalism on the technology that will transform the delivery of financial services.

Degree Level 1
In year 1, Students will acquire the essential abilities necessary for all banking and finance specialists, gaining a foundational grasp of business administration, finance, and the core concepts of Financial Technology. Additionally, APU will immerse them in business and communication aptitudes, accounting proficiency, and leadership competencies.

Degree Level 2

Additionally, APU aims to expand their learning abilities to ready them for their future careers .

Internship
To bridge the gap between academic and professional worlds, students will undergo an Internship or Industrial Training for at least 16 weeks. This ensures they transition smoothly from academic settings to real world job .
Degree Level 3
In year 3, Students of APU BA Banking and Finance in Financial Technology will use what they have learned before and their work experience to study how financial technology is managed, its risks, and how it fits globally in banking and finance. They will also learn about tools like Robo Advisor and how to be leaders in using new finance technologies. In their last year, they will work on a special project by themselves, showing what they have learned in their favorite subject.

APU-DMU Dual Degree
Students enrolled in the Bachelor’s Degree Program are presented with the opportunity to join the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. By choosing this pathway, upon graduation, students will be awarded two Degree Certificates & Transcripts: one from Asia Pacific University (APU) in Malaysia and another from De Montfort University (DMU) in the UK.
