Semester 1
Students will learn basic mathematical, language, and communication abilities, as well as key information technology skills, at the start of the the course of study. Students will learn the fundamental concepts and terms of technology and business management.

Semester 2

Semester 4
Students learn about advanced development fundamentals such as the system development life cycle. Training begins with an introduction to data analytics, which includes topics including big data, data warehouses, and data mining. Data informatics also necessitates a thorough understanding of algorithmic reasoning, which is based on calculus and mathematics. Furthermore, usability principles in the web design and development process, as well as software engineering methods, are presented and developed to help with the final semester software development project.

Semester 5
Students develop and use methods in their final semester applying their second programming language. Two additional specialized programs, Behavioral Science and Marketing Analytics and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, will provide an understanding of the approaches used for software design and the development of data informatics-based systems. The semester concludes with the Software Development Project, which integrates skills, knowledge, and understanding from the whole program and includes a variety of data informatics methodologies for problem solving.

Semester 6 – Internship (8 weeks)
Students must take part in an Internship/Industrial Training program for a minimum of 8 weeks. This program aims to provide a smooth transition for students from their educational environment to the formal workplace.

After successfully completing APU Diploma of ICT in Data Informatics with a CGPA of 2.5 or above and fulfilling the credit transfer requirements, students will be able to continue to Level 2 of the following APU degree programs.

By choosing this pathway, upon graduation, students will be awarded two Degree Certificates and Transcripts: one from Asia Pacific University (APU) in Malaysia and another from De Montfort University (DMU) in the UK.
