Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation
The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, also known as MDEC, gave APU the title of Premier Digital Tech University. This means that APU is known for its strong focus on teaching about digital technology.
The university makes sure its students are trained and ready to take on technology jobs in Malaysia and other countries. The Minister of Higher Education in Malaysia gave this special title to APU.

Through the Elevating IT Education (ELITE) initiative, an exclusive Educational Engagement Program created by Tecforte Group, APU has established a Security Operation Centre (SOC).
This center aims to help graduates who are prepared to transition into their careers, with the help of cybersecurity skills that align with industry expectations.
Students get very useful experience by taking part in a real professional Security Operations Center. They learn about the people, the steps, and the technology parts of the business.
Cisco
In partnership with Cisco, APU has developed an advanced Cisco Networking Academy lab, designed to offer students a dynamic setting for gaining practical exposure and understanding network industry methodologies.
Having routers, switches, and a diverse range of both academic and business software tools, the lab allows for the design, simulation, testing, monitoring, analysis, and management of computer networks.
Within this setting, the Cisco Networking Academy program delivers practical digital skill training to students.
Salesforce
APU and Salesforce are working together to help train people in Malaysia and nearby areas in the field of customer relationship management (CRM).
Salesforce is a company that makes and shares CRM tools and technologies. Through this partnership, APU is excited to work with Salesforce to teach IT professionals about CRM and how it is used in the business world.
Materialize

Cyber Test Systems is a company from France. They have a team with more than 20 years of knowledge about training for cyber defense.
This company brought a special technology to Malaysia called “Cyber Range.” This tool can show what big cyber attacks look like in a very real way.

KPMG
APU’s partnership with KPMG aims to enhance Cyber Security skills and student engagement at APU, ensuring it aligns with the needs of the ICT sector.
They achieve this by help of KPMG’s experience and connections. Furthermore, KPMG has contributed by reviewing and providing feedback on APU’s Cyber Security courses.
AWS
APU is the very first university in Malaysia to partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in what is called the Public Sector Transformation program.
Because of this special relationship, students and teachers at APU can use certain computer services for free. They can also join workshops, training sessions, and other events set up by AWS without any cost.
In addition, thanks to this partnership, students and teachers can be part of research projects. The best part? AWS provides money to help support these academic projects at APU.
HILTI
APU has an agreement with HILTI, which lets HILTI join APU’s team that helps decide what to teach in the courses. Many students who finished their studies at APU now work at HILTI and have trained in places like Liechtenstein and Switzerland.
Also, APU teachers have been judges, and APU students have taken part in HILTI’s contests. APU has always done a good job in these contests.

The APU-ISACA Student Group has received official recognition from the ISACA International Headquarters, marking it as ISACA Student Group in Malaysia.

For more than twenty years, Microsoft has maintained a collaborative relationship with APU. APU stands as a pioneering university within the Microsoft Talent Development initiative.
